Recent H-art renovations

For much of the past year I have had difficulty moving, but I have been constantly at work on improving my existing art.
I overhauled the 2008 version of Aphrodite Rising earlier in 2023 and then was thankfully given an ornate frame that I cut down and decorated to suite the refreshed painting.
On Freyja’s Choice I re-modelled her physique and robed her, while making the armour (swords and axes) more historically accurate, cleaned up the tones and made changes to Satan and JC.
On Soteria 279BC I used solvents and scraped for days to remove a thick layer of very yellowed and darkening varnish. Stripped back down to the paint, I restructured the village, made the Sanctuary of Apollo more detailed and accurate, reduced the snow to just-falling and made changes to the Gauls and their armour.
After more work/days to remove even worse varnishing choices from Dionysic Meanads I then completely repainted it. The painting was receiving a lot of attention and possible purchase interest for a decent price online, but the real thing was not looking that great to me and I considered it could be done better. So I re-painted the entire thing over the original paint. The result was crisper and more anatomically accurate and three dimensional.
In the case of the second two paintings, in retrospect, it would have been less work in hours to paint them over from scratch on new canvasses. That said, they were both generic compositions and being decided as I progressed.
The lesson needed to be learned again though, and I am currently reworking a stripped-back fourth version of Delphi Apollo.
I feel crazy when stripping back the original paintings, yet a little less so on seeing the new results.
